Another Convert

I have been reading posts here and doing research on this "Darkside" thing for about two months now, and decided to do it, after hearing why it wouldn't work from my wife, co-workers, ands co-riders . I Have an 1800C VTX, with some mods. The last Metzler tire I put on lasted about 3000 miles. I called my local bike dealer, explained to them what I wanted to do, and they said as long as I signed a form releasing them from any liability, there would be not problem with the mount. I ordered a Bridgestone Potena 205/60/16, and took it to them. I received a call the next day from the General manager tell me that it was in fact a car tire, and they WOULD NOT mount it. I then went to a local custom builder (Mojo Riders), who took great interest in it. I got the tire back yesterday and got it back on the bike. The first five miles felt a little strange, but after that the feeling was amazing. My area is known from cracks in the road that normally throw you all over, but it was stable as could be. EVERYTHING that was said about this is true! I took the bike back to the custom builder and let him take it for a ride and he was also amazed. He is going to try it on his choppers. Thank you for all the info about the Darkside, and I will NOT be going back to a mc tire again!
