I currently am using a full synthetic in the GL1800, and have no complaints whatsoever. But, I am thinking, mind you just thinking, about switching back to a dino-oil. We've all heard the "theory" that thats a bad idea. Is it possible to do this without harming anything(i.e. seals, bearings, etc). I ask this question in all honesty, so please don't load the weapons, set out any i.e.d's or the like. affraid (been there, done that, no fun)) Thanks . Semper-fi

I've had no troubles switching. I see no reason to other than the money, which adds up of course. I've had to when it was time for an oil change in all my vehicles at once, and 13 gallons of oil cost a lot no matter what kind it is.

I just barely switched back from full synthetic to glorious Rotella 15w-40. No problems so far.
