This is something I found while playing around with the shocks and forks.
I have Progressive springs in the front, and I have 1/2" over stock spacers in. That takes out some of the sag in the fork. Well what I did was drop the triple clamps 3/8" so that the top of the forks stick out through the triple clamps. I beleave what this has done is put more weight on the front tire. We use to do this when we were Moto-X ing, it mad the dirt bikes handle a little better. All in all, it dont seem like I have to use the extra effort to ride the twisties with the car tire on the rear. It just seams to handle a little better, and it dont feel like I can feel the road in slow speeds as much. I now have about 500 miles on this setup, and I like it alot better, also the highspeed corners feel better, I was hitting some of them a 90 and 95 in the last couple of days.
So you may want to try this and experament with it a little, it may improve yours and it may not.
I know it did on my S. But not all bikes are created the same.

Yes.....that's an old flat tracker trick for quicker steering! Thanks, forgot about that!

I run mine up about a quarter inch on my C. Now with the bigger tire it sits up and screams through the twisties. Liking my scoot more and more everyday.

See you out there

When I put the smaller ct on I raised the forks through the tripple tree to keep the same profile of the bike..... Handles good.

Im going back to the 150-??- 17 front and then drop it down another 1/4"
The 150 handles and last alot longer then the 140. I have only about 5k on the 140 and 4/32 of tread left, in the center. Shocked Metz. 880.
