A ride I'll never forget....
We took off last year it was 17 degrees that morning the ride was called " The Peg Draggin' Ride " we rode across The Devils Triangle Hwy.116 and made our way to The Beast Hwy.66 we then crossed the mountains into Va. on our way to Black Mountain the highest point in Ky. This is a photo of the black ice we hit about half way up Black Mountain. That was one of the most adrenaline filled rides I ever been on we had 9 bikes ...What a RUSH

We took a ride back in Sept. to do the full Blue Ridge Parkway when we got in the clouds you could'nt see the bike in front or behind you. We finally had to pull off and let the clouds burn off .

We ride year around and take several 2 and 3 day weekend rides . We have some of the best motorcycling roads in the country in this area and I know them all . It would be my pleasure to share the wind with you if you ever get into my hood let me know and ...Bring It...LET'S RIDE

I've got about a good mix of both if you know where you're going. I've got a road with over 15 turns that's barley 10 miles long just 15 minutes from where I live. I've driven the Blue Ridge Parkway a few times and the view is fantastic. I'd love to go back sometime, just need the time and funds to think about it again.

I've got to start riding some of these scenes. My longest ride was 4 1/2 hours to houston and back. Once I hit Conroe, it was gorgeous (took backroads across lake Conroe into Magnolia). The pics I'm seeing make me think I need to find a riding group.

That'll just give you more of a reason to go ride..........or you could just get a map and go for a ride and only use the map when you want to get back. That's when you normaly find some great places to visit.
Re: A ride I'll never forget....
I have definately got to get out to that part of the country and ride. I was thinking about going west this summer but now I am not so sure. East is looking good too. I have some old Navy buddies still on the east coast and a daughter staioned in Va so I may have to go east.
Thanks for the pics joe.
Have a great day all
See you out there.

Re: A ride I'll never forget....
We've done the Blue Ridge a couple of times. My Mom lives in Waynesboro, the northern end of the Parkway. We ride the slab to get to the southern end and then take the Blue Ridge up. We ride it for 5-7 days and take lots of side trips. We visit with family for a few days and then head off into West Virginia or some where generally south and west for the ride home. Those are the best trips since we just follow directional signs and maybe look at the map once or twice a day. We will spend roughly 10 hours a day riding.
