Re: Honda's first chopper....the FURY!
Not really sure how I feel about it. Cant say I dont like it and I cant say I do. Just going to have to let it grow on me. That is the way I am. I have to know more and learn more before I make a decision. Right now I can say I dont, but tomorrow is another day.
Peace.

Re: Honda's first chopper....the FURY!
can't wait for more info on it, ie like engine size, gas tank looks awfully small, still in all it is a sweet looking machine. Just looked again, front & rear disc brake, looks shaft driven too. Maybe a 900?

Re: Honda's first chopper....the FURY!
Thats what I heard about the Fury also 1300 cc.....Thing about bikes like that its hard to make your own without a custom paint job. Yours will look just like everbody else's
If I had to go buy a V-Twin tomorrow it would be the Suzuki M 109R. From what Lamont ( LaMonster ) claims this is one of the baddest on the planet.

Re: Honda's first chopper....the FURY!
The M109 is a cool looking bike. But I've always heard/read that Suzuki and Kawasaki quality/reliability trail Honda and Yamaha. They are still good (better than BMW and Harley) but not as high as the big two.
I like the Suzuki bikes. S83 and the M series. But if given an equal bike from Yamaha or Honda, I'd have to go with quality and reliability. But maybe that's old thinking.
I'm a member of the honda shadow forum and generally the technical section is filled with "dead battery" type problems. If I peruse the Harley forums, I get "oil leak" type issues. I have not perused the Kawa or Suzi forums. And, like I say, there are are couple of Kawa and Suzi's I really like.....

No, not for me, don't like it at all.
Think I'll keep on chopping my own X to make it a chopper.
Have a good riding weekend

Found a couple more shots over on the Big Bike Riders web site.I ride too much for a bike like this ( nowhere for my stuff ) . Would make a nice bar hopper I guess.Hard saddlebags and a driver's backrest along with a big ass car tire and I might ride it

Re: Honda's first chopper....the FURY!
I saw a pic on the VTXOA site. It showed a rider on the bike. The bike as a whole looks small. For us big-ol-boys, we would look like the fat kid on a BMX. Like I said before, I would have to sit on one before I made my final decision. But as things progress I am loosing interest by the day.
Peace.

What I heard was $17,000.00 'bout $10,000.00 too much if you ask me.

I think I just vomited a little in my mouth. Please stop posting pics of this .... ummm... thing.
Sorry, I know a lot of you like it, but it's just not my style, plus they are about 3 years late on coming out with that type of bike as the useless bike trend is rapidly declining and the posers are going back to jacked up SUV's and $70k pickups now that fuel prices have gone down and they learned that pretending to ride isn't that big of a thrill.
George
Oh, sorry for my rants. I didn't mean to add ugly to the thread, I just couldn't help voicing my opinion.

Re: Honda's first chopper....the FURY!
I dunno, I think it looks ok. But jeeeez, isn't the chopper thing worn out yet? I stopped riding a chopper once all the yuppies with OCC on the brain started dropping $50k just to ride them on weekends. I mean seriously, between all the bikes I've owned in my life, maybe 6 were choppers (all of them rats and most of them Hondas) I think these new "choppers" look great, probably ride ok and are fine if thats what you really want. But just like anything else, now all you have to do is BUY one.
Not downing them really, just saying that back in the day, if you were seen on a chopper, it was assumed that you were a real biker, motorhead, welder, fabricator.... Whatever. Thats what made them so cool. I just don't think they are so cool comming off an assembly line.

I'm not wrong....The more I look the uglier it gets....The only thing I like is the cover hiding the drive shaft. And I might change my mind about that....
