tire rack
I have given up on the darkside. Received a Sonar Multi-Mile from Tire Rack and the installer blew the sidewall out at much less pounds than what all of you have used. Most of you said it had to be a defective tire. Ordered another from Tire Rack. The installer at the shop said he wanted to check this one out before he tried to put the second tire on. He found a cut and where the tread meets the sidewall. I called Tire Rack and gave them my problem. He informed me that a defective tire was IMPOSSIBLE. Any problem with the tire was due to the installers handling of the tire. He said the tires are inspected before they are shipped. REALLY??? EVERY TIRE???? No matter what, they were not going to help me out on the tires at all. So I am out $160. I told the guy at the shop. The hell with it, and ordered another Metzler for the back. Pretty expensive pair of Metzlers now.

Re: tire rack
That's why I went local....sorry for your loss. Wear out the Metz and try to find one local. That's what I did. Plus local shops won't blow you off as easy on a defective tire like an online place can.
Re: tire rack
Plus one on what toasted said. I bought mine local also and have had no trouble at all. I actually bought 2 of them at the time. Now I have laying around I am not going to use now that I did the foots mod.

Re: tire rack
definitely will go local next time. I will just have to look harder for a local supplier for the 165 R15.
