Just looked at a 205/70-15 Douglas M & S tire at Walmart. Unmounted, the tire measured 4 & 1/2" to 4 & 5/8" from outside of bead to outside of bead. Should this work on a 2005 1300C with stock wheel?

Except you and twin run a 205/65 instead of a 205/70 right? If anyhting the taller sidewall of the 70 series will work out even better.

Yes, get the 65 it will match the original diameter of the OEM tire.

i have the 70 series on my o6c and no issue 2-up or solo only issue i have had is the massive amounts of grip but no coplaints there

My thought was that the 205/70 General worked so maybe the Douglas would too. Also, it would help correct the speedo error. I thought, but I'm not sure, that with everything else equal the 70% would work better on the narrow wheel than the 65%.
