I admit to being very interested in the car tire on my bike. If I read correctly, the General Grabber 205/70-15 fits with no mods? The General site says it is made for 5" to 7" rim width. I am a Michelin fan. Michelin makes several tires in 205/70-15 size that the Michelin site says fit 5" to 7" rims. Would one of these likely work? Has anyone here used a Michelin on a 2005 1300C? Any educated opinions out there from those who have been darksiding a long time? I don't want to modify the bike for this.

Yes the Grabber fits without any mods....... Very Happy

Really you should use a tape measure and measure from outside bead to outside bead and get it closer to the 4" that our 1300's have for stock rims. Just because it says it will fit the bead might be closer to the 7" instead of the 5" that they say.

I used a tape measure to decide what tire I was going to use by using the tape measure rule instead of the brand or what the manufacture said.

Let us know how it works....we are always looking for new sizes for our 1300's. Right now our advice is do what others have done to be sure it works.

I measured a new unmounted one at a tire store. Between the outsides of the beads measured 5.75", so I guess I better go another route.
