The car tire can and will handle any twisties you throw at it. There are quite a few of us that are aggressive riders and love tearing up the roads. The darkside just makes it all better.
See you out there

+1 on what Smokey said.....if you like tearing up the twisties. You can only lean till your parts start dragging on cruiser and that's it. We are dragging our parts and can't lean any more and it sticks like glue. I will link the durometer test so you can see why it sticks so hard......????

Re: put me at ease
what tire, what tire , what tire, that is the toughest part about going darkside. There are so many options out there, tires, tire sizes, brands and directional or non directional. decisions decisions. '
Good luck with that

On the 1300's...what determines what you be able to ride or be able to seat the bead if you have stock rims is make sure the car tire will fit a 5" rim at least. I didn't just take the manufactures word...I brought a tape measure to the store and found one that thought would fit and it was Douglas 205 at WallyWorld for $46 and a non-directional tire. It was actually 4 1/2" un-mounted. So that the biggest hurdle of getting one mounted....most tires that fit 7" rim and high, high performance tires will NOT seat the bead.
Let us know if this heads you in the right direction.

Muntz put this together a little while back...

Good hunting, the choice of tire is the hardest decision.
I went with the douglas because it was cheap and wouldn't be out much if I didn't like it....
Now I only have another 30,000 to 35,000 to go before I can start looking again....
Aint it great...
The tire poped at about 80 psi, no problems....
I also used Dynabeads to balacne it....
