2012 Wideglide
I have a new Wide Glide and have been wanting to join the dark side ever since I saw a Honda at a small time bike show with a ct on the back. It looked great and made me curious. I came home and researched for days and found nothing negative except from people that had no real experience.
Now I am at my current issue/question. Do low pro tires work better than high pro or the other way around? My Harley calls for a 180/60B17 on the back. What would be a good size to try? Having trouble trying to find something close. Found a 195/40-17 but not sure it will work with my fender.
And if anyone knows of a ct installer in Eastern NC, it would be great. Installed many tires in the driveway but don't want to chance on the brand new rims.
Any help would be much appreciated
Shaun

Re: 2012 Wideglide
Ok it looks like my fender will fit a 205 series tire but it looks like the drive belt might hit. I guess my next move is to try mounting a 195 series tire and see if it fits. Can always take it back if it doesn't fit. Any suggestions?

Re: 2012 Wideglide
Does anyone know anything about these Yokohama S.drive tires? Looking at this tire, 195/40R-17 81W XL B.
As you may have notice I posted before on the 2011 Wide Glide topis but as you see we never got work from him again.

go to the General Motorcycle Tech board and check out the Stickies at the top of the page. there are a couple tire calculators.
