New guy here, but not new to running the Darkside. Just got a new 2012 FLHX with ABS and was wondering if ABS creates any additional DS concerns over a non-ABS model? In particular I am wondering about the outer circumference of the new CT. I have not yet chosen one or a size, and was wanting to go 55 or 60 series to lower the rear stance of the bike. But a different series tire would have a slightly smaller overall outer circumference and I don't want to confuse the ABS system

Is there something to consider here, or is this a non-issue?

Thanks in advance

Not sure about Harley's, but it is a non-issue on Goldwings with ABS.

Cool, my concern was that even though the rotor where the caliper and ABS sensor reside is unchanged, the outer diameter of the tire being potentially less (in the case of a lower profile 55 series that I want to go to) make make the ABS system think the rear tire is going slightly faster in a hard stop situation

Thanks for your comment

Hey, a few parking lot panic stops should get you adjusted! I think EVERYONE should practice these regardless of tires, bikes, or guts.
When you need the brakes, and your rear slides out from under you, remember that you didn't practice these. ABS guys, different story, or not?
Never had 'em. I just trained myself to mostly rely on the front brake and to hit it first.
