My friend has a 2008 Valcan 1500 classic. He is wanting to get a rear tire . He has a Bridgestone spock wheel tube Bias 150/80-16 . The rim size is 16x3.50. Can anyone help?

Re: Car Tire For a 2008 Vulcan 1500 Classic
I own a 2003 Vulcan Classic 1500, and I will be installing a car tire very soon. From the studies I've searched and read, the proper size car tire for my bike is a 195-60-16. Right now I have my eye on the Bridgestone Turanza EL-400-02. However there are a few other brands that people here seem to like as well e.g. Dunlop SP5000. Boils down to one's personal taste and what you learn by doing some homework. Let us know what he ends up buying and how he likes it.

Re: Car Tire For a 2008 Vulcan 1500 Classic
I couldn't get the Bridgestone Turanza, as I would have had to wait 6 weeks or more to get it, so I continued searching and found the Hankook Optimo H426, and even though I have nothing to compare it to (this being my first DS experience) I still can highly recommending this tire. It made the transition from motorcycle to car tire a pleasant experience. It rides better, smoother and can really take the twisties better than my motorcycle tire could. This tire really grabs in the corners, and is totally silent while leaning hard. Don't how many miles I'll get out it, but at this rate, I'll definitely buy another one when the time comes to replace. My gas mileage hasn't been affected at all, I get the exact amount of miles per tank full.
I'm never going back to a motorcycle tire....what a rip off.
