21K
OK didn't quite know where to put this so I'm dumping this here.
I have a '04 Retro w/"C" powder coated wheels to match the two tone of the bike.
I've been running Darkside since May, 2007. I installed a GY TT 205-60-16.
The reason I'm posting this is just to update everyone (who's interested) on my CT's tire life and overall
bike performance. Another reason I'm posting now is in the past I did not remember exactly when I mounted the tire.
This week I found the recite which had the date, so...here we are.
So to date the CT has been on my bike for 2yrs 4 months. I have approximatly 21K on the tire. Now the inportant part, at the same time (within 2 wks) I put the CT on I mounted a new 140/70-18 Metz on the front. I just changed it yesterday with the 21K miles on it and it's not all worn out. Go figure! Even though there's still tread on it I change it because it stopped handeling well. It would shimmy and just not feel right. I finished mounting the new tire and everything is back to normal. I will say that I put 4 oz. of DB's in the front tire. The powder coating gave the wheel w/o tire an out of balance effect. So to error on the safe side I used more DB's. Today it ran as smooth as glass so hopefully .....maybe another 21K.
The CT is now just starting to show some wear.
