Luke...I am your father!
I got tired of ripping thru the MC tires and the cost of them so a few years ago started looking at the CT option and after a good 2 years of watching, talking, and reading I made the switch.
I have a kumho 165/80/15 running at 42psi right now
I did a 30 mile test ride (after I replaced my battery...it finally gave up the ghost) 15 miles of highway and ran my normal speed and then some and the bike felt just fine. Did 15 miles of back roads and twisties and the bike handled just fine there as well. I will admit there is a little change and that is the bike is easier to get into the corners and drag the pegs...however it is also quicker to get out of the corner meaning the bike "rights itself" pretty quick which is no big deal. Kinda feels like riding a 280 rear end...sort of!
All in all a very nice ride, very comfortable and in control!
Do want to say a big thanks for letting me "lurk" the last few years and gather my info...not to sure why I did not do this earlier!

I only got 11k out of my khumo powerstar. But that was a lot of smokey hell fire burnouts too. Enjoy the ride.
See you out there
