A few questions for the smart ones... I am thinking of going to the DS but am still skeptical, I will only run a CT on the rear (180/65B/16) but need to know what will be the CT that I should be using. The next question, has anyone else switched tires a newer bike? Who can I go to that will install a CT on a MT (general question). HD will not even let me in the door. I am usually riding straight up since getting over the dumber days of the rockets, but I still love to run the hills here in AR. Thanks for any help concerning these matters.

I run a 195/60/16 Yokohama car tire on my '14 Road King, and love it. I have run CT on my bikes for the last 12 years, and will never go back to a BT. Better brakes, longer life (30/35K miles) at a much lower cost per tire. I also run a bike rear tire on the front of my bikes. front tires have 5/32nd tread depth, while a rear tire has 10/32nd's, works just fine and last 35/40 thousand miles.

Tynker,
Do you know if your rear tire was the 180/65-16? I tried to find anyone who would put a CT on my bike but couldn't find anyone. I had to end up getting a BT put on...oh well. I am still in serious consideration once I run the tread down on this tire. "Shouldn't be too long." Thank you sir for responding.

Yes my rear tire was a 180/65/16, as is yours. You can run a 205/55 or 60/ 16 on your bike, but I like the way the 195 handles better. Both tires rides much better than a BT.

If you can remove your rear wheel, take it to a used tire shop, they will install it for you for cheap.

No sir, I did not get it done, yet. I am going to wear this tire down and then move to the dark side.
