Hi...Just like to say Hello to everyone...Been giving some thought to going dark side on my 2003 VTX
1800S ( Spoke Wheels )...I'm not a fan of spoke wheels...to much work keeping up...not lazy...just old...
When I win the lottery...I'll find some mag wheels...Haven't look into what models would be a plug & play
switch since I don't think I'll be winning the lottery any time soon...It appears I have some decisions to
make if I want to go to the dark side...Do many use car tires on the front and rear or just the rear...? Do I
stay with a tube in one or should I do the the spoke wheel tubeless mod first...? Than the big one...what tire(s) do I go with...???? So I hope everybody is doing well and being safe...Thanks

Welcome! We are all noobies once!
Car tire just on the rear. You couldn't find a modern car tire to fit the front anyway. For your VTX 205/60/16 is the popular size. Most people pick a unidirectional tread.
It's been awhile since I had a VTX, but when I did the Michelin Hydroedge was the bomb!
With spoked rims you have to use a tube or seal the rim.
Check out the sticky thread at the top of the General information on sealing rims.
Read through it and it will answer all your questions about the alternative to using a tube with a spoke wheel.

Thanks...I read a post awhile back while someone put a car tire on his VTX but the tire he pick made the bike feel like it wanted to stand up straight when corning and was looking for a car tire that had rounded corners on the edge of it...Is the tire you use handle the corning well...? Thanks
