For the ones who have a DS on the front...
I can't really find a good match on the DS front..
I was told that it will throw my OD off even more then 10%
As well as my speed O ....
Has any one have this issue ..
See my bike front takes ~ 150/80/17
I can only find a 150/70/17

Take a look at 130/90-17 its about the same height as the stock tire. You need to look at the load rating of any tire you get, make sure the load rating is the same or higher than the stock tire.

Just a thot for ya; I run a GPS right smack in front of the bar clamps, and I go by that more than the bike's speedo anyway. My only solo concern is getting my oil changes right; I dislike dirty oil.
And as my old mentor, Motorcycle Mac used to say, "Oil is cheaper than parts".
Nothing else matters in the end run, aside of being dry, laid, and TCLOCKED.

Lots of 150 80 17s out there. I have one, its a radial, I got it from HDL and it was on sale for $136, it has more tread and last longer than the bias tire and handles great.
Lots of bike run them.
A 150 70 17 will not make you speedo off

Lady D , I went from an 80 to a 70 when I went DD. Same deal, couldn't find a rear in the right size, so I went a little smaller to be sure the fender didn't hit it. Speedo didn't change. I really don't feel any difference with the size change riding. got almost 5 k on it and couldnt be happier!

If you went to a smaller or larger(in diameter) front tire and it didn't change the speed-o then your speed-o takes the speed from the tranny or rear wheel. A larger tire will make your speed-o run slower while a smaller tire will make it run faster than what your really going.

I couldn't say just HOW many years I rode the chops I built with no speedo whatsoever; just run with the traffic, or slightly faster for safety.

I sure don't need a performance award..
But also it will change my fuel readings...
And then That would involve more math
I still haven't decided .. Right now the one bike is down do to 2 small pin holes in the rear rim
And leaking air ... The rims are 12 yrs old ...
I have never heard of anything like this before...
They are aluminum made in Mexico ...

That GM 5200 is like tire rubber; but it takes 7 days to cure fully. I had a spoke leak on mine, only waiting 2 days, back when I tried to seal the rims.
If the aluminum is porous and leaking thru casting cracks, almost anything that sticks well would seal it, I wouldn't use silicone though.
I'm like you; I like to check my fuel consumption every fillup, so the odometer has to be on, or the GPS at least; which is actually more accurate.

We took my rim to our buddies place .. A body shop..
He put something in it let is set up for 24 hours ...
I'm going to wire wheel the rims and paint them for added protection...
As all the paint that WAS on them is gone ....
I don't own a GPS....

LADY DRACO .... I HAVE TWO VALK'S, AND I RUN A BRIDGESTONE 130/90-17 BIAS REAR TIRE BACKWARDS ON BOTH. THESE TWO TIRES HAVE BROUGHT THE SPEEDO ERROR TO 1-2 MPH OFF, INSTEAD OF 5 OFF. PLUS, THEY HAVE 10/32 TREAD INSTEAD OF 5/32 TREAD.
