Defective tire Empty Defective tire

My brother bought a valkyrie with a CT installed. The dealer noticed a bubble in the side of the tire. Has anyone else had defective tires and did you replace them, return them, or ride them till they wore out?

If its really defective, I would replace it with another C/T. Why ride on a tire that might get you killed. I would go to a car tire shop and let them take a look at the tire. Then if they say yes its bad, get a new one from them. I have only seen two bad c/t in 40+ years of using them on cars and the last 6 years on my bike.

Rarely...almost NEVER...hear of a CT on a bike have a factory fault; we just don't have enough weight to harm them - that said, there are defects,
and I'd not ride one either. Plugs, I'm okay with; have plugged MANY truck tires and never had a fail. Bubbles? Suicide, IMO.

I agree, the tire is what keeps your ass from sliding down the road, replace it ASAP I'm kinda a freak about tires anyways, I replace them after 3 years no matter how much tread is left on them.
