I am now a DS rider, I have been curious for a while about running a CT but last week I was put in a position where I had to put on a CT or wait a week or more to get a MT for my 1800 goldwing. Not wanting to be with out my bike for that long I went to the local tire store and had them put on a 205-55-16 Goodyear eagle. Had I known it would have been so tight a fit I probably would have stayed with a 195-55-16. My first impression of riding on the ct vs a mt is it rides smoother, is more stable and seems to take the corners well. I have not done any hard leans yet so I am unsure of just how far I can safely. Can anyone who has more experience than me give me an idea of what happens when you lean a ct over like say running the dragon. Does it stay on the tread or does it roll over to the side wall. I know there are people here that run a ct as hard as a mt and can let me know, how far I can push it. Is this goodyear tire a decent tire to run as I had no time to see what the most popular tire was and get it. Thanks for this site and any advice you can offer me.

I run a 195 on my GL1800. You won't be able to lean the bike over far enough to run on the sidewall. The tire won't stay totally flat on the ground in a turn but will still have more rubber on the ground than a MC tire.
You can get a lot of info on the GoldWing board here and also the Darksider forum at GL1800riders.com.

You did good, I'll bet before it's over you'll be saying "you'll never go back". I know I won't be. I have a Genral G-Max 205/50/17 on my 05 Rune, can't wait for my 05 Royal Star's Avon to wear out to go DarkSide on it too.

Welcome and congrats Banana. Find your way around on the site.
As mentioned in earlier replies, no worries, just ride it like you stole it.
