Tire Pressure Sensors& Darkside
Pretty sure I am going with a Michelin Alpin PA3 ZP 195/55/16 tire. Now the question I have is related to tire pressure and the factory tire pressure sensors on my 2010 wing.
If I put on the car tire then the sensor will be reading low air pressure at 32 psi.
If I get another wheel without the sensor on it, system will be reading a fault code for sensor not found.
Cant find anything in GW service manual related to reprogramming sensors for a lower pressure.
I'd certainly like the sensors in place. Rode Friday and physically checked pressures. Rode Saturday and sensors came on. Behold a friggin nail in the tire. Thus my intent now to go to car tire as long as I am in the tire shopping mode.
So what is the work around on the tire sensors?

The trick for running 32 psi in the rear is to re-register the sensors in reverse order so that the TPMS computer thinks the rear tire is the front and the front is the rear. The TPMS system has about a 10% window before it will start to flash, so with the 36psi that the front is supposed to be; it is 32psi before it flashes.
There is a great write up on how to re-register the TPMS sensors on the GL1800 board. http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?229543-Registering-tire-pressure-sensors-2009-GL1800&highlight=TPMS+programming

Thanks, that helps allot. I had a feeling you would be the one to responde. That 2012 wing is all over this site, and I figured if any one had determined the how to, it would be you.

I did the sensor thing, making the front back and so on....
I am running 33 in the rear, I ride 2 up, and the low pressure light comes on till the rear wheel gets warm. Then bingo, out!
