Re: FRONT TIRE MILEAGE???
Depends on the rider, If you are an aggressive rider to start with then yes it will. If you are a putter then no. The car tire will give you more confidence and encourage you to push harder through the twisties if that is your style. Pushing harder will indeed wear the front faster. If you are a putter ... nothing to worry about.
I used to get 2 to 2 1/2 rear tires to a front tire when I was on MC tires. Now I get 2 fronts to a rear. Make sense?
Enjoy the ride
See you out there

Re: FRONT TIRE MILEAGE???
Put an Austone on the rear an a BTX 130-70/18 reversed on the front last year, Total miles 12,687 . The front tyre is now starting to cup. I keep 40psi up front and 36 in rear.Dyna beads 2oz front ,3 in rear. Had the head bearings replaced this spring. So my question is " What could be causing the cupping?' I ride in all weather and all roads , have been knowen to push the courners. also pulling a 350 lb trailer. One up ( she who must be obeied stayes at home). BTW the Austone is performing beyon my expections, good for another 15k miles.
Any ideas?

what size would you
what size do you think i might try for the front of a rocket touring classic 150/80/16, also i notice dunlop has a tire this sizebut they refer to it as a rear tire logic tells methere should be no problem running it on the front any advice would be appreciated!robw wrote:Good question. Re: FRONT TIRE MILEAGE???
ct on back mt on front and still get same miles on front have seen many front tires with cupping on other bikes but i install and balance all tires myself because bubble balance is not as accuret as spinning tire to find heavy side of rim and tire have never had cupping on any front tires in 90,000 miles all my front tires have worn the same and ive tried different tires just to see. when u go dark u dont go back
