2003 V-Star 1100 Custom.........darkside?????
Hi All!
First time on the forum. I moved to NC from Wisconsin last fall, had a brand new dunlop bike tire on when I arrived. I cannot believe how fast I went through a tire down here!!! A friend told me about the darkside
The idea seems reasonable. I just can't wrap my head around the concept yet! I'll have to look at the bike tonight when I get home from work to get a tire size. Having a V-star, there just doesn't seem to be a lot of room for a car tire there. Also, having a spoked wheel, I'm wondering about tube or no tube.
So......Who's got pics of a similar bike that has gone to the darkside? I'm sure that many get the same questions from 1st timers! How about some shortcuts to posts that will help with the decision? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Starting to look like I could use a 195/60-R15 Goodyear Eagle RS-A. Found an internet price of $80 from Just Tires.com. After that, just need a tube and someone to mount it on the rim. Just gotta do some last minute measuring........

195-60-15 should fit just fine. I run 205-65-15 on my 04' Classic. Removed a little material from the fender bracket on the right side for a little extra clearance. Shouldn't be an issue for you though.

195-60-15 or 195-65-15 should be no problem. Of the two, I'd prefer the 195-65.
