Darksider's Take Heed.....

I belong to the VTXcafe. Had a post there not long ago from a Darksider that took his bike in for repair and had the rear wheel removed and had spindle and bearings checked. Low and behold....missing bearings beat up wheel. One subject I have not read about on this site. Because the back tire is not changed as often it is a good idea to check and grease the rear wheel every 8,000 miles. Any other incidents occuring? Just info for the Darksiders.

Check bearings and lube splines every 10,000

Darksider myself , but hadn't come across a thread with this info here. Got my CT put on a while back but took it to the shop to have it done. Wasn't sure if it had been done or not. Cost 62.00 dollars. Not bad. Worth not to have the worry.
