195/65-16 on a VTX1800C ????????????????????????????????????
Okay, 1st off, I'll tell you why I'm going "skinnier". I run a 2-person sidecar that puts a tremendous amount of side pressure on the tires, wheel bearings, etc. I'm simply trying to avoid any rubbing issues. I absolutely love the look of the fattest tire stuffed into the fender, and being that this rig runs "flat", the leaning factor is not an issue anyway, but again, that dang rubbing issue comes to mind! Has anyone tried the 195/65-16? Also, I wouldn't mind not grinding anything down. Thank you in advance! jevers[img][/img]

I found one......... and only one!
Okay fellow Darksiders, after some exhaustive research (surfing) I found quite possibly the ONLY 195/65R16 in existence. It is a
Vredestein WRC Van tire, yes I said van tire as in a Winnebago Rialta (mini) motorhome that uses a Volkswagen van chassis. It is a 8 ply tire with a load range D. I've decided that's a little too stiff for me , so I'm going with the GYTT 205/60R16 with the V speed rating (the local tire shop convinced me that with the somewhat shorter sidewall and the V rating, that it should have firm enough sidewalls for my sidecar application. B.T.W., I found that goofy-size tire at Tires By Web for $163 shipped. jevers

If you can fit a 175R16 tire(26.9" tall) It will make your bike 1/2" taller than a 195/65-16 tire that is hard to find. It will hold 1650 pounds so your bike will not tax this tire at all like a car would, it has become a tire of choice for a lot of bikes that use a 16" rim.

Wrong brand name on the 195/65R16 tire previously posted
Sorry guys, too many different brands of tires out there! The correct tire brand name is Nokian Hakka WRC Van Tire..... NOT the Vredestein! I'll post some pics when I get the GYTT on. jevers
