Coker Vredestein Sprint Classic 165 HR15 Radial 579821
I was directed here from the Honda Shadow Forums.
I think I might go to the Darkside and have been looking at tires. My 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit VT750DC takes a 160/80-15 on the back. The rear rim has spokes and is tubed. I plan on sealing the spokes either by having a friend at a machine shop weld them shut or by using 3M 5200 Marine sealant.
I have been thinking about this tire from Summit Racing...

I would think staying with a tire as close to the same size as the OEM motorcycle tire would not affect handling too much.
Are there any opinions for or against using the Coker 579821?

Welcome
I'd suggest the 3M 5200, I'm thinking that the heat from welding would warp the rim.
Do a search here on Coker, I seem to remember someone posting that theirs wore out in less than 10,000 miles.
But I know several have used a Vredestein with good results. Not sure if these are the same tires or what.

"Coker" only brings up this thread.
"Vredestein" also doesn't bring up too much information...
