2010 Ultra classic First Ride
Went for my first ride today with the Blizzak RF on my Ultra, it is absolutely amazing how much better the bike is with this tire. Under no circumstance will I ever go back to a bike tire. I Love everything about it !!!!!!!

hAHAaaaaaaaa!!! Whilst most get to this point in 500 miles or so, I felt the same way as you. Despite the countersteer pressure, I was hooked. Then even the sensation of pressure went away; pretty quick too.

Yeah I noticed the slight difference in countersteer pressure but nothing major. Just awesome the difference in the bike is unbelievable

Re: 2010 Ultra classic First Ride
After I began scraping thru the boards, I welded Toyota head bolts underneath for sliders. On my fourth set now, I just extended the forks 2" and am still scraping. My lean angles are now 3 degrees less on one side and 1 degree more on the other than the new Sportsters. The Comtrac tire has almost 19k on it and holds like glue still.
I had also put a PVC slug over the springs to keep the head up more and lessen hitting my crash bars on whoops in the curves. Now, with 2 over forks, slugs, and 10w oil I've FINALLY stopped dunking the crash bars.
This is beginning to be REAL fun!

Thats pretty serious ridin and proof there is nothing negative about CTs on a bike. I am impressed with that mileage. Put on 120 miles today still at 40psi going to start dropping it tomorrow by 2 and checking until I hit my favorite spot.

I would suggest taking your time and putting at least a couple hundred miles between 2 lb. drops until you feel like the bike is wallowing in the sweepers. The point in between that pressure, and the point where it quit tracking ruts, grooves or tar snakes (if at all) should be your sweet spot for that particular tire, your riding style, your bike and your local roads.
You can see now why we recommend for everyone to experiment with pressures (procedurally) to find that magic area where it outperforms the MT's the most.
If you don't put some miles on each increment, you might not really get the feel of what all it is doing. Of course, if it's doing something obviously WRONG, you'd want
to abandon THAT setting much earlier!

That makes total sense I will put 200 miles at least between pressure changes and see what I come up with. One negative handling aspect I found was a slight wabble when you go one way then the other too quickly. Nothing major though.

Re: 2010 Ultra classic First Ride
Rode some more miles today, upped my front tire pressure to 37 lbs and the slight wabble I had is gone. My mistake .

Just over 200 miles on the bridgestone RF. Tested out on curves at high speed and up to 100 awesome. Will never ride on a bike tire again. Time to start experimenting with some different pressures. It is amazing how much easier the bike handles at low speed and on gravel. The ride is significantly better.

Re: 2010 Ultra classic First Ride
Have about 1200 miles on the tire now, I like 34 lbs. the best. At higher pressures the bike would want to wobble a bit at higher speeds if you moved the bars back and forth not at 34 lbs. Tire is working great, my wife commented that the bike feels much smoother now. My friend mounted the same tire on his 06 Goldwing and just loves everything about it.
I am going to mount a 205 on my bike next time and see if it will fit just to try and correct the speedo error. I am out about 5 MPH I think it will fit

Re: 2010 Ultra classic First Ride
I thought the 2010 Ultra Classic speedometer was on the front tire? Am I wrong? As to Air Pressure, I ran 31 on my Goldwing. Have you tried a bit lower than 34? Wallacem in Ga

Re: 2010 Ultra classic First Ride
Speedo does not run off the front tire, runs off the trans. so a different tire does change accuracy.
I ran 34 on my first Michelin and wore the center out prematurely. Put a new one on and dropped to 31 psi
Still wearing a little more in the middle. I read on a Goldwing forum where guys are running 26-28 lbs. I dropped
to 28, rides and handles excellent and wears across more of the tire so Im going to run it there and see what happens

Every Harley I've owned, especially the Electra Glides seems to have the speedo off, usually by at least three mph over what you're actually going. Even my latest one, a 2014 Limited.
