Hello everyone,
My name is SPIKE.I am new to this darkside expierience.Haven't switched yet(too much snow on the ground and only 13deg.) I have a 2005 Vn 2000 and pull a 6ft. sst fiberglass cargo trailer filled with camping gear. I am planning on going with a good year tt 205-60-16 and run 38psi. in it.I always ride 2up(wife wont get off bike
) I am looking forward to the adventure and i will post pics. and keep data on our journeys. Looking forward to hearing from all of you darksiders.I do have 1 question. What do i tell my ins. co? I have progressive.Take care folks & be safe

Unless your policy has specific language in it that prohibits the use of a car tire then you are covered.
I'd be more concerned with how they feel about motorcycle pulled trailers...
Otherwise tell them you are having a great time!

Welcome to the otherside.I have an 06 V2K and I am running a General altimax HP 205-60/16 34 PSI.I cant say much about the insurance company because I did not tell them.

I'm with Progressive myself. No point in bringing it up to them anyway - most folks who inquired found out the law just requires a DOT certified tire, and the insurance boys just want to see proper tread depth. They'd actually be overjoyed if they knew how much more safe the DS is.

The CT gives me that extra cold wet weather traction I need to ride all year. There is no bad weather, per se.
