Michelin Hydro Edge on 07 VTX 1300R
Do you think my rear tire is worn out? ....is it time for a new CT....
well lucky me, i changed the tire just in time. just a couple of days ago, there was still some rubber, but when i removed the tire after getting home from work, i saw that i got the full life out of my MC dunflop tire
so now i have gone to a CT....i use to have a general grabber 205 70R15 on my 05 VTX. I wanted to go with the GYTT in that same size but could not find one locally without paying over $150 at one shop, so i ended up getting the Michelin Hydro Edge.
FYI for those in PHX and want to get a CT installed on their rims, you can go to Bob's Motorcycle on 16th st north of southern rd in phx. they installed in for $10.
I believe the first bead popped at 50psi, but they had to try like 5 times before that and then the 2nd popped at about 80psi. he didnt have a guage, but would remove the stub and stick on a pressure guage to see how high he went.
I am running at 38psi and you can see the area that is in contact with the road in one of the pictures (slight dust trail). love the smooth feel when going over rough road surface
