Car tire video
Texastim posted this on the shadow board. I thought it would help anyone on the fence about going dark/wideside. It shows a lot of contact even when dragging your foot pegs.

Re: Car tire video
Looks to me like we have about 100% more contact area with the CT.. I was sold after the first 2 minute test ride!! Weather here in the big apple has been bad, 2-3 days of rain or snow every week and if not wet blowing 20 plus and in the 20's.. Oh Lord help me make it to the spring!!!! CLIFF

Re: Car tire video
What's funny, is that the beauty is all in the eye of the beholder. They guys on the shadow board went on and on about how stupid it was and that the sidewalls were flexing, and blah blah blah. When I saw it I just saw more contact patch and moved along. I'd love to see some corners at faster speeds though.
Just to give credit it's proper due ... I think I got that clip from that posted it over here. Thanks whoever you are.

Re: Car tire video
I'd love to see the same shot on a 180 or 200mm MC tire for comparison!

Re: Car tire video
I wasnt trying to start anything I thought this was a cool video for its execution , how many times do you see a shot like that, I posted it on the VTXOA OTE and got the expected comments. As a future darksider I see more tire contact than an m/c but of course the naysayers see less, as mentioned beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Come on Reap......stop it man! They are going to think we put you up to this or paid you some money to say that.....
I know what you mean...Badd to the bone aint it? Sticks better than any motorcycle tire made and rides a ton softer......... It just sounds too good to be true huh? But it aint.
Glad you are enjoying the darkside.

Cliff, really sorry to hear that.... By the way it was 78 degrees here in Ennis, Tx today!! I think spring might already be here for us Southerners.
