Tomorrow is the day!

Post  Stonesavage on Fri Jul 22, 2011 9:07 pm

Well I picked up my c/t today! Falken Ziex ZE-512, 205/65/15. Discount tire $65.00, asked them to mount it and the guy said "No Effen Way!" so I gotta wait till morning and take it to the local bike shop. Can't wait for my test ride!!

Not so fast, bike shop busted the steel bead on the first tire! Discount tire said it ain't their fault so they wouldn't replace it! So I burned another $ 70, man, I'm about to give up on this whole idea.

I've never heard of that. Sorry for your misfortune. It's not supposed to go down like that. Hope the next one works right.

Busting the bead occurs when the opposite side of the bead is not held down to center of rim and to much pressure is applied.I would strongly suggest finding another installer.
