Help on Car Tire

Post  johnnie1 on Mon Jul 11, 2011 7:15 pm

I have a VTX 1800 N and want to go to the darkside, but do not want to make any changes to the fender or shaft, will a 195 x65 x16 fit or would a 195 X60 X16 be better. I know a lot of the darksiders run the 205x60x16 but some have trouble with it fitting. Also they have a 180x70x16 size car tire, but I'm guessing this tire would be bigger in the car tire than the m/c tire.

I have seen a 205/65/16 on a stock N and it fit with no problem.
That said a 195/65/16 should also fit with out any problem. thumbup

The 195 will be a lot shorter than the 205 in the same series of sidewall and cause higher revs at speed. JMO Most people I know with the N model do ride the 205 width.

Just as long as you know what you are getting into if you choose the 195 width. Other than that it's a fine tire.
