Phenomanal Ride

Post  John Donovan on Sun Jun 05, 2011 7:18 pm

This was my first real Darkside test this weekend i have a 2003 1800R recently installed a 205/65/R16 Michelin Hydroedge had it off and on a few times .. Did the modification on the inner fender bracket and a small dimple on the shaft tube . when i installed my Viking bags i had to buy new longer bolts to reach through the bags ,the sissy bar brackets and the rubber stabilizer link kit bushings .and the fender rails so with a Metz 880 there was lots of clearance not so with the Michelin it was rubbing on the bolts anyway took it apart AGAIN bought some new metric bolts just enough to give me a full nut it the inner bracket yesterday went on a ride for dad (prostate cancer run) around 600 bikes 250 miles another 200 miles today and i am whipped but i will never go back to a bike tire again the braking and the the ride is incredible.. and other than using the push steering into the turns i really didn't have any trouble but i'll tell you it garnered a whole lot of attention thanks all who gave me advice on this it is a great experience John.. thumbup
