vtx 1800 starter

starter stays engaged . replaced bat. /starter sny./ brushes in starter. No change . Anyone had this problem /what to do. thanks leaddog

STARTER STICKING

possible bad starter switch button or starter solinoid hanging up....try tapping side of solinoid to see if it will release.............or the contacts could be welded stuck......come times low voltage caused my solinoid to hang up on my vtx 1800 f2....good luck...ESKIMO

Never had this problem on a bike but on a car a bad bendix (starter gear) will cause them to lock in.
