I tried a Goodyear Assurance 205/65/16 and it would not fit. I had to go with a BF Goodrich 195/55/16. I probably could have gone with a slightly bigger tire but this one will do for the next couple of years. I like the sound of that. After 15,000 miles and two rear tires it was time for a change. The handling seems no different with a CT. The bike is heavy enough that it feel the same in turns. I am now on the darkside with my FJR1300 and my vulcan 1700. The guys at the tire shop today were very amused at putting a CT on a Motorcycle rim. Even found someone to spin balance the tire for me.

Congrats and Welcome to the darkside! If you don't want to spin balance them..try "Dyna Beads" or just use the same amount weight of "air soft" pellets and you are good to go. No more lead weights!

Always good to see another Vulcan going with a car tire. Wish I could find a place to spin balance mine, as balancing a car tire seems to take more weight than a bike tire, of course there is a lot more rubber there to be out of balance.

Still have to balance it on my axle out here in the Iowa farmland. I've only got about 5,000 on my Vulcan 900C, but over 10K on my Concours. Hard to see any wear on either of the tires, hope your mileage is as good as mine have been. I was on my 5th tire one year on my Nomad, seemed like I was always ordering a tire, waiting for it to be delivered, or putting it on.
