Suzuki Darksiders
I'm here hiding in south central Missouri! Just put a Bridgestone RE960 Pole Position Potenza on my bike a month ago and love it. I have over 2,000 miles on it and will be heading for Salida Colorado in two weeks. Rode to Lexington KY a few weeks ago, and on the way back, got into a hellatious rain storm. That tire never hydroplaned even once and acted on the curves as tho they were dry. Will never go back!

Suzuki DS riders
I was referred to your site by somebody on IntruderAlert.com where there are lots of DS forums and riders.
I almost left your site without posting because there was No Forum for my bike - Suzuki vs1400/S83 Intruder/Boulevard. If you create a Forum for Suzuki vs1400/S83 they will come.
I ride a Goodrich Touring AT 175/80R/15 on my 01 Suzuki vs1400 Intruder.
This tire is made especially as a "Modern Radial for the Classic VW Beetle."

Re: Where are all of the Suzuki Dark Siders???
I'm a darksider in waiting. Gotta wait till I get some extra cash. 'Course it took me a few weeks of research just to find a tire that would fit my slim 17 inch rim.

Fighting the damn tire on!
I've never been more frustrated (or nervous) swapping rubber than trying to get my new Goodyear VESA rear to seat on my '04 Volusia....still haven't succeeded....max rated inflation is 51PSI...I've pushed eighty with lots of lube and no luck...never had problems before I dunno....Ain't givin' up just yet...after 18 years of doin' my own rubber I'm no stranger to the occasional boom from an uncooperative tire.

Re: Where are all of the Suzuki Dark Siders???
Tell me about it, I just fitted a Dunlop Le Mans to my VT1100 Shadow, I finally let it sit in the hot sun for half an hour, then pushed it to 110psi. before the beads popped.Dfinitlydisturbd wrote:Fighting the damn tire on!

Total Motorycle shows the stock rear tire on a 2003 VL800 to be 170/80-15.

Re: Where are all of the Suzuki Dark Siders???
I have a Goodyear 195/??/15 on my '04 was a major bitch....required inflating to 120+PSI a lot of violence....lots of silicone lube....and finally ridin on the damn thing (pressurized to 100+PSI) to get the bead to finally seat....it was scary....I damn near loosened every fastener on the rear of the bike....rattled several fillings loose but it did finally seat....I recommend a good high pressure compressor and a chuck which locks to the stem....riot gear and a lot of liquor to settle your nerves.....put that bugger out back don't let anyone near it and pump er till she blows or seats...if she seats use the regulator on the compressor to ease er down to a safe pressure...disconnect.volusia82 wrote:stll having trouble going to the darkside on my 03' VL800 any help?
Good luck.
BTW I'd recommend looking at the tire list for a tire that seats well at a low pressure and saving yourself a lot of aggrivation.

Re: Where are all of the Suzuki Dark Siders???
I've got an M50 running dark for the last 7000 miles and a C90T running double dark for a little over a thousand miles. I wouldn't go back to a mc tire.
