Checking on a tire for an 1800C Empty Checking on a tire for an 1800C

I am getting ready to dark side my 1800C. I had a GYTT on my 1300 and really liked it but the tire place I deal with said they can't get a GYTT in a 205-65-16. They can get a GY Comfort Assurance (Not a Triple Tread) for $145 mounted and balanced. I can also get a Michelin HE for $170 mounted and balanced.

Sooooo .... what do y'all think ... tomorrow is pay day ... Very Happy

I liked the Triple Tread too ... I just checked and they DO offer it in a 205-60-16!! Thanks my friend! Next question ... will that throw my speedo off more or will it help get it closer????

I can't answer that question .but the 60 series will be very little shorter than the 65 series.

Neon,

With a 205/60/16 you speedo should stay the same. Tire sizes are equal to the MT you took off. If you go with a 55 which is shorter it will throw it off even more. Stick with the 60 series.

We just ordered a BF Goodrich Traction T/A for this guys 1800 C at work. I had to do some of my homework first before I committed to posting data.

65 series is more for the 1300, it will get your speedo closer but also raise your seat . Since you just went with a BadX mod to lower the seat I'd stay with the 60 series. Besides Twin is never wrong.

Had to buy this one instead! The T/A were sold out when we got there! G019 Bridgestone is now the tire we bought for his 1800C 205/60/16.
