Stock rim size on VT1100 '02

Hello,

A darskider-wannebe here. I've read all those nice posts about putting 165-to-205 wide tires on VT1100, but I didn't see any mention about the rims. Do you guys put these tires on a stock rim that is 3.5" wide? From what I see on websites about rims/tires dimensions, those tires cannot / shouldn't be put on anything thinner than 4.25/4.5".

Anyone could provide, say, a pic showing how does such a wide tire looks like on such a thin rim?

I've got a 195 on mine. No problems.

I am running 205 65 15 Nexen on my 2002 Aero I have over 16,000 miles on it and it is still going strong.
