going altamax hp what psi

hey guys just picked up my general altamax hp h rated 205 60 r 16 and getting it put on sat morning. what psi should i be running at so that i dont get any rub. my shocks are set to 5. i eigh 276 ish and i ride 2 up with my wife. she aint no skinny minnie but no heffer eigher. yeah i know that some of you are sayin 276 holy crap. i do powerlifting and bodybuilding not alot of fat, just a brick hit house. so im just wanting to see what people are running for psi and what you guys think a good starting point would be for me to get the ball rolling at

I am running the same tire on my 1800R. I started out with 38 psi and now run 40psi. I personally like the 40 better. I have not had any rubbing issues at either pressure and I too ride 2 up and I am "well insulated" and a pretty aggressive rider. I would say just play with it and see which works for you guys.

thanks man, i got the rubber in the garage. the shop cant get me in until sat morn at 0900 ill be waiting in the parking lot for him to open haha. but then i decided that im gonna take the long way home to get used to it and brake it in all the same. i think that im gonna have him run it with 40 psi to start. thanks man.

i have been running car tires for a few years now,and i won't go back.i have a 1800c and i run a 235/65 16 on it and i found it corners better with 42lbs in it.when the tires wear, they start to wiggle more on uneven pavement.then i move the pressure up to 42-45 and they work better.

well just an update i got the tire installed running 40 psi and love it and so does the wife. thanks guys i have put over a 1,000 miles on it since the big day. i got it installed on a sat and then on Monday i rode from dekalb Illinois to Milwaukee to a cubs game with about 15 others from work all on our bikes. it was a great ride. When i pulled up at my friends house i made sure that i was the last one there. everyone was shocked that i installed a ct on a bike and were thinking about having a truck follow because when i went down they would load it up in the truck. i told them that they would not be able to keep up with me. we took the back roads up there staying off the highways on purpose. each and every one of them wanted to take it for a ride when we got there because they were surprised on how well the bike handled. since that time 2 of them had converted one on a vtx1800n and the other on a gold wing. HA HA i showed them
