Boot Straps/Cuff Suspenders
... or whatever you call them. I was looking for a pair to keep my pant leg down when i am not wearing my jeans. On occasion I need these. I found a set for $15.00 + shipping. Then I got to thinking (I know, dangerous), I wonder how hard these would be to make. So I went to the local fabric store (with wife in tow) and began looking for what I thought I needed. Sure enough there it was. Metal clasps and elastic. So we bought 2 sets of clasps and 1/2 a yard of elastic and $6.00 later we were out the door. 15 min. after we got home my wife had my straps made and I am a happy camper.
So.....just a heads up if anyone is ever in need of something like this. With minor sewing skills, you can make your own pair for about 1/3 the price (after shipping cost).

I use real small bungies
work good on my causal work pants, I also use them on my chaps (bought larger to layer up) in the fall/winter.

I have used the sheet corner straps before. You get them at Wally world or other stores and they are used to hold sheet corners to your bed. Might want to dye them another color first though.

I bought the metal clasps like you mention and some velcro. Looped the velcro through the clasps and I attach one end to the front of the britches leg and the other to my boot lace. Works great. No sewing involved.

You my dear are a true Southern woman. Calling them "britches"
+1 on the sheet corner things...found some black ones...lost them somewhere.

Re: Boot Straps/Cuff Suspenders
We called them boot blousers in the army. They are listed as trouser boot blousers

should be "britches bungies" maybe?
These are abosolutely necessary if you ride in something other than denim as your pants get blown up around your knees.... Big rubber bands will work too.

When I am in a hurry I will pull the front of my pants tight and just tuck the rear into my boots.
It works and it's pretty cheap...
