Re: M/c tire to C/T conversion chart
You're better off to use the particular tire mfg.'s specs, for accurate dimensions, sizes can vary wildly between mfg.'s They all have sites with specs listed. And what's to convert? MC sizes are 180, 200, 240mm, CT's are in between with 185, 195, 205, 215mm, and none are exact, some are way off, that's why those tire calculators on distributors sites for speedos are wrong more than 90% of the time, they use exact size, of which none are. To be precise, use the tire mfg's specs. Good Luck

Re: M/c tire to C/T conversion chart
tire calculators can give you a good estimate for the tire size you are looking for, find the size you want and the tires you like and choose the one that most accurately fits the size you are trying to get, be it largest that will fit, or narrowest you can get...
let us know what you decide....

thank you
thank you guys for the response, however what am asking for is the link to a chart that someone posted about a month ago. i was able to put in any size tire-be it a m/c or a car tire and it converted it perfectly. (thats how i decided on the 205/65-16 for my bike). my friend has a new Vulcan and wants to go to a car tire on the back. I am not sure as i have not looked at his tire yet, but i think his tire size is 200/60-r16.............thanks scotty

then you should start with a 205/60/16 and see how it's measurements compare to the MC tire...

Re: M/c tire to C/T conversion chart
If you're looking for exact diameter and/or width as the stock tire, go to the tire brand's site and look at specs, then go to a car tire co.'s site and match it, easy enough. A 205/60 should be close, but again, depends on the brand, the dimensions vary enough on some that no conversion chart can give you an exact match to all brands, going by size alone, have fun!

M/c tire to C/T conversion chart
Heres a link for a tire calculator That I use to compare sizes and look on width and such but it don't cover MC tires just CT tires but it helps. I sent a email to them about rewriting the program to include MC tires but they refused for some odd reason but heres the link none the less, enjoy it. lol
