Here is the tire size I would like to install on my 2003 VTX R 205/55R15.

Can any of you 1800 people tell me if this will fit.

if you have an R you have a 16" rim

that tire will fit, but is a smaller diameter than your stock tire

I have the same model and used a Michelin HydroEdge 205/65R16.
Balanced with 4oz. of DynaBeads.
Shocks on 3.
No rubbing and no modifications required.

If you use the beads, make sure the tire installer does not get any of the tire lube inside the tire. Have them apply it around the rim and tire bead with their finger. The beads will clump if the lube is inside.

I run a goodyear Eagle F1 G3-D3 205/55zr16 , I all so have my shocks set a 1 I have no problems with rubbing . It has changed my speedo by about 3 to 4 miles per hour slower. my bike is a 2003 1800 r It is a tight fit getting the tire back on the bike but I removed the dust cover it it went ok.

Thanks guys!

I was just in here browsing to see if anyone has tried the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 and *POOF* there is my answer! I am running a Yokohama on mine now and want to make the switch this winter, but need to make sure it fits first.

Thanks again!

I too am looking at going darkside, and have been looking at 2 tires. One is the Eagle F1 GS-D3 size 205/55/16 and the other is the Yokohama ADVAN A048 same size. Has anyone run the Yokohama A048 and are there any problems getting the Eagle 1 on a C model, looks like it will be awfully close.

Gimmie a slight break. I saw the post 2 above mine and noted the bike was an R model. As there are some slight differences between the 2 models, I thought I might ask about the C model in particular.

But thanks anyway I will assume there are no differences.
