Very New, Looking to Switch Over?

Post  Mistah Honcho on Sun Jul 27, 2008 4:53 pm

I've had my 2002 vtx 1800c for a year now and I need new tires soon. I found this website and I am very interested. Im looking for a car tire that will give me good traction wet and dry with good reliability? What can I use?

Go to any of the tire store sites and look at the tire comparison charts. They tell you how each tire rates in varied conditions. I am running a toyo tpt4 205/55/16 I find it to be a little shorter than i would like causing the bike to run at higher rpm's. But this thing sticks like glue. In all conditions

See you out there

I LOVE my 205/55, but I'm running a 1300 final drive on my 1800c. I'd probably be more inclined, if you don't do this, to go with a 205/60 or 205/65. Look for tires that have more round profiles. Look for sportier car tires, like the Bridgestone Potenza (seen in the Darkside Logo above).
