excited new Darksider
Well after 1 year of reading and researching all I can find on the CT on MC debate I' ve decided that there is not one good reason not to but many reasons to take the ride. I am dropping my 1800 VTX '02' off to have a 205/55/16 replace my worn out 200 metz. I will work all night and I'm sure I won't be able to sleep while waiting to pick her up for a ride. Thanks to all of your post that help me decide about going dark.

vtx 1800 you should try the 205 /65R16 it is closer to or slightly bigger then the stock tire.

Re: excited new Darksider
i wnt to get a goodyear rsa but found the dayton model to have the same ratings but better treadwear. Also looked at them side by side and the dayton actually has more tread running up the side wall with a nice rounded off profile. I would say it had at least 1/4 or more tread on the wall. I thought about the 65 but thought i would try the 55 to set the bike down a bit, hope Im not sorry.
I will post my reviews soon.

Agustus
I am running a 205 55 16 on my rear. The only down side to it is that I run higher rpms at cruising speed and my speedo is off by 13 percent now.
See you out there

Re: excited new Darksider
OMG that sucked! I don't know what i was thinking, I picked my bike up with the 205 on and pulled out onto the road to leave and layed it down on the first lean. Put mc tire back on and left.......no just bullshitn. I picked it up and took her home on that fat ass rubber tire underneath me. It was fine. I had to be at work at 6pm so I only got to ride the 7 miles home but i love it so far. The only thing I noticed is the slight counter steer and the minimal extra effort i had to put into it to lean it in a serpintine. But I told myself to just trust it in the curves and treat it like always so i just took off and leaned her this way and that and it was fine. No complaints. I don't know of any darksiders around here so everyone I see is very curious about it. I will post pics soon so you guys can see the tire. I'm running about 38psi and might play with it up and down to see the differnece. Stay tuned.

Re: excited new Darksider
Lookin good Aug, that tire looks fairly tall for a 55 series, as we've seen, sizes vary between mfg.'s
