Question

I'm running my first DS tire got maybe 100 miles on it. If I turn a corner and gave her a little gas it feel like it's sliding. Is that normal for have a new tire

Ask Jedison about that....he thought the same thing. Then he realized he couldn't break it loose by trying, so he figured out that he was feeling the tire gripping and it was the torque applied to his bike that he felt and it was not slipping!

It's an opticalcontusion.....hehehehehe What are pressure are you running? Go up or down 4-5 psi until it feels better if you are running a low air pressure! Let us know what you find out?

It takes 200-300 miles to get the mold release wore off some tires....If you still feel the slipping after that try going up in pressure a little. You dont want to exceed the manufacturers recomended pressure. My tire is rated for 44 psi and to me my sweet spot is 42. I can tell by the way it handles when it gets down to 40. It has been said before (sorry I forgot by who) that getting used to a car tire is 99% mental.
They are right. If you just accept what its doing as normal you will be surprised at how well it does things. Took me between 300-400 miles to quit looking for the things that felt different from my mt. That was over 10,000 miles ago. The tire has saved me from 5 different crashes that I know I would not have been able to avoid with a mt. One could have been fatal..... Long winded way to say quit worrying, get the mold release off of it and go have fun riding.....

at very low speeds (below 20 mph) my tire feels like it is slipping but it is only the sidewalls moving just a little bit over but when i am going over 30 mph around a curve it is as strong as a rock , this might have something to do with the narrow rim i have and the wide tire that I have on it. I am running 36 psi in the rear it rides smoother then when i had 40 psi but didn't have the sidewalls movement .

It's max. is 51 I'm running 44. I thought it might be in my head, but there's nothing in it. so my wife says
I found out today it runs great in the rain. Way better than the Mc tire ever did. Thanks for the tips.

I think it is just side wall flex.
