Darker than Ever! Darkside Rally '09

Alright everyone! I am so ready to get started on a ride to meet our members and friends and as many as we can, for a weekend "get away". You know, just riders wanting to ride. I don't care where...well within reason! Plus, try to give some dates with the location of our rally!

So all suggestions will be appreciated and let's put our thinking caps on and plan this ahead of time, so I can plan my vacation and to heck with work! It doesn't have to be the most scenic place, let just find something centrally located to the most people and let's do this thing!

The theme will be "Darker than Ever" 2nd Annual Darkside Rally '09............WWoooohhooooo!

You know I'd love to be able to attend, but I'll be stuck more then likely at school, oh well at least I'll have lots of bikinis to look at

What about Memphis or Chattanooga, TN around the Holiday on the weekend of May 25th?

Smokein Joe has a ride planned that weekend in that same area. I am gonna be there anyway, but don't want to detract from his ride for a darkside rally persey.
Knowing SmokinJoe like I do he dont give 2 shits if we combine it ...... his answer will be "bring it let's ride"

But ........

If we do a seperate darkside rally in the area at a different time ....... we have another excuse to get together and ride ... see how this works

I think that would be a great weekend and area. I'm for any area really, and, as long as I can arrange it off, I'm in.

Don't sell yourself short Jerry....you got just much as opinion as everyone else! If you can't get off until July......call it! I will make my vacation the same time! We just want as many as we can to get together!......................

Yes I am height impaired......Last year you were in Ar. I ended up taking a trip to Harrison, Ar. later in the year. The Ozarks are fun but I dont know if I could keep up with the darkside queen. Maybe somewhere in between, somwhere around Little Rock. Head North or South from there and you have good riding. Just a thought....

I'd go for something in the Texas Hill Country. Several places cater to bikers only. coyote hotel or something like that. Garner state park is near the famous three sisters, as is Bandera.

If Texas doesn't suit, perhaps somewhere in LA? Cajun Country? Been wanting an excuse to head that way.

Jefferson TX is supposed to be good for motorcyclists. Some nice roads in the piney woods. Kermit might know these better than most. I'm going to try like heck to make it this year, but can't go too far. I have a bunch of trips planned......

2 trips to fort scott KS (friends and relatives)
2 trips to Little Rock AR (Dad)
Eureka Springs in June.
Then there is the Ride around Texas, Saddle Sore to Sturgis, Hill Country, Big Bend, etc......that are on the radar, but not planned.

Memphis isn't known for great MC roads.

Jefferson Texas is a nice place for a rally, but I didn't see much for riding adventure there. North of Little Rock is nice, up by Harrison, towards Branson is very nice. Some of the most awesome riding I've done was up around Branson and Eureka Springs. Could catch the passion play while you're there if you've a mind to.

I'll be in Eureka Springs with my high school buddies the third weekend in June.... My Uncle lives on Table Rock Lake. I've been wanting to ride my bike up there. Anywhere North or West of Little Rock is prime riding.....

Hey....how about somewhere a little further North so more people to come! I would like to get guys like Reaper, horseman8man, gstanfield, Jerry and others! Some one say something or we will have to make a plans!

If we are going to do AR...let's do Mt. Ida/Mena area! We would be close enough ride Hwy 7 and other options!.............. I aint scared, that area gives us more options to go on longer runs and make more than one day riding out of it! That's what I want, a couple of days of riding!

Thats why I thought of Little Rock. Take 7 south one day and north another day.
Of course if you start out at the Hub we can get rooms for the biker discount of $40.

I personally am riding East most all year long. When I get a break from the grind of work. Thinking a ride in and around the dragon, parkway and skyway. Sooo many roads in that area so little time for my yankee ass to go play.

Let's pick Mt. Ida again! It's kinda between every one! After looking at the majority.....the east coast will away from too many riders! Plus, I like the fact since we will be on a weekend as it looks for a date, we will not have to hassle with too many folks on the road!

Any complaints or suggestions, voice them in the next coming weeks and we will make a decision!
