Darker than Ever! Darkside Rally '09

Agenda:
Fri: Roll into Town whenever. Rebuild carbs in the hotel sinks and such that night.
Sat: Breakfast. Warm up with some wheelies in the parking lot, then ride
Sun: Head Home

Steve and I are there. Not sure about Will. Gives me a chance to show off my new tire.

More like roll into town Friday and put stuff in motel room, ride 3-4 hours. Breakfast Saturday early, ride the rest of the day; back to motel around 9-9:30 that night. sunday.....hey, isn't Monday a holiday? Won't we be riding all day sunday and home on Monday? I got to watch my dollars though, I plan to go to Colorado the end of June, 1st of July.

I live near Valdosta GA along the Florida line so everything is north and west to me. let me know when and where , I am looking fwd to seeing everyone.

My suggestion is to meet at "Mountain Home" Arkansas. They have a folk thing every Saturday night in the middle of town. Kinda cool.

There is a scenic ride that leads out of there.

We could meet at mountain Home Saturday night. 5/23. Soime of us might be inclined to get there early.... But Saturday night would be dinner and a mini folks festival at the town square.
Sunday, we ride a big loop or two through this area. Follow the map above or deviate a bit. Back at Mountain home by 6pm for dinner.
Monday (Memorial day) we can head back home.

The route to mountain home from any direction is a ride in and of itself. You guys from the south can take 23 north, then take 7 back south. You won't be sorry.

I can check out lodging at mountain home if you like. I'm in Little Rock for a spell. Wasn't someone else here from the Little Rock area???

That's my suggestion. And if we have it over memorial day, I can make it. actually, if we have it in May, I can make it.

I haven't seen anything on this for a while,is the Mt Ida ride still on

It will have to be later in the year for me! Work has changed my plans!

Has anybody ever seen anything about this place? [ http://www.ridersresort.net/ ] My brother went up that way this weekend and stopped in there and was asking me if I'd ever been there. It would be a great location to use for a hub to ride NGeorgia Mtns, Cherohala Sky-way, Dragon, NCarolina Mtns! He did say however grand opening is may 18? I think but it looks pretty cool if someone might be interested in camping anyway check-out the website!!!! [GOOSE]

Hey everybody, how about the Twisted Sisters near San Antionio in the Fall. I believe it would be too hot to run before then, but by then, it should be cooled down. Google it and post your thoughts. Also known as Three Sisters, Three Twisted Sisters, and 100 mile Loop. It covers HWY's 335, 336 and 337. Steve and I plan to make it around then regardless.
