New potential Darksider with a question
Hello Everyone, I have been researching the subject of ct on my '04 Nomad 1500 and will likely change over and give it a try when my current metzler is due for a change. From another site I've found that a Dunlop SP5000 195/60/16 will fit. Any comments on that? Also, a buddy with a '09 Nomad 1700 is curious about changing over as well. Any information on sizes that I can relay to him. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Poppy
Thanks,
Poppy

Re: New potential Darksider with a question
Poppy,
I just installed a Vredestein Comtrac 175/75-16 on my 2003 Nomad 1500. The write-up is at http://forums.delphiforums.com/DarkSiding/messages?msg=1318.1
However, if you're looking for a wider tire, the Dunlop SP5000 195/60/16 should fit just fine. Good luck.

Hey QDog, Thanks for the response. I have been reading through the startup posts on Delphi as suggested and just read your posting. It made me do a comparison on the 175/75/16 to the 195/60/16. I made a spreadsheet using a couple or tire comparison sites and think the 175 may actually be better initially. It looks like the speedo will be reading similar to stock and less revs per mile. I do pull a trailer occasionally but mostly I commute 54 miles round trip to work on I-95 so I'm not really interested in higher cruising rpm's. But hey, I'm willing to do a little testing and documentation.
