Hey Daniel,
I heard you got some good video of you riding on your site, but they couldn't remember where they saw it. How about some help with a link or where to find it?

Cool! I'm not actually. I bailed during the housing market crash in the mid 80's and got into the computer and production systems biz... Was still my favorite job...I can still drive around the city and point at buildings and say "I did that!"...
Of course...the way corporations are nowadays...I may be back to it sooner than I think...

life is a road
There is a problem I had with Daniels books. Every time I ordered a new one as soon as it came in I read all 4 cover to cover the day they came in. I couldn't put them down. Every time I finished a story I would say I am going to read just 1 more and when I finished the book I would go to bed mad because I didn't any to read the next night. I loved them every one. I started out going to his website and reading all the stories on it then ordered his books 1 at a time and he had 5 listed but 1 was a big book with the 4 combined and I didn't get it I just bought the 4 After reading each one I would wait a few days and order the next book and as soon as it came in I had another enjoyable night reading that book. I sent him a pm and he said he was planning on putting out 1 possibly 2 new ones this summer. I cant wait !

Re: Daniel Meyers......"Life is a road"
I guess I am more disciplined than Tommy Kelly. I ordered all 4 of them and stretched them out for 6 days........... only because I worked 4 doubles in that time frame
Made it hard to stay awake to eat let alone read. Excellent adventures everyone of them. I had said that they were going to go in my permanent collection ....but.......... I was telling a cowrker (65 year old wing rider that does about 40,000 a year) about them and he said he would like to read them .....soooo...... off to the library at work they went, to never come home again, I work in a coal fired power plant and papers of all sort tend to get really dirty. My plan now is to wait til the next 2 come out this summer and Daniel to offer a 6 pack then I will have them all again
If you havn't been to www.lifeisaroad.com ..... GO read his adventures and buy you the set. Promise you will not be disapointed. If you are lucky, like me, you will be inspired to get out there and really enjoy the journey.
See you out there

I went to Barnes & Noble looking for Daniels books. They said they would have to special order them. I told them "No Thanks" I think I can order directly from Daniels website.

I'm enjoying rereading them during my recovery. The books sure are helping inspire me to follow doctor's orders in this long recovery that I am experiencing. I can't wait to get in the wind again. Thanks for writing them, Daniel.

Recent convert---- On A Honda Reflex Scooter!!
Hello all,
Well, it happened when I was looking for a car tire to fit on a wrecked 2001 Honda Reflex scooter that I was going to convert into a 3 wheeler.(that never did come to completion though.) I came across a forum that had the bit from Daniel Meyer. (the author of Life Is A Road) Being a bit adventurous, I put the rim with the 145/70R12 all season Federal tire onto my black 2004 Honda Reflex Sport scooter that I use for my 80 mile round trip commutes for work.(It fits just fine on my 250cc scooter.) Now some 1700 miles later, I've been loving it. It's just a little bit taller than the standard 130/70-12 Bridgestone Hoop scooter tire, so it has the effect of riding with a "taller" gear. One thing I noticed was a significant improvement to fuel economy. I used to get about 65mpg average with a high of about 70 mpg using the standard scooter tire. Now it's averaging close to 74 mpg with a high(so far) of a shade over 77 mpg!!!(and still with room for improvement with a more frugal riding style) Handling was a little different.(Not better or worse, just different.) After describing my change, one of the guys from another forum I frequent went so far as to get a tire for his scooter.(though he hasn't put it on yet) Of course I got the usual flak from the naysayers about how dangerous it would be in turns, and affecting braking performance, and so on and so forth and yadda. yadda, yadda, blah, blah, blah, flaming crash and burn etc., etc. It didn't change things much when I said "You really don't and can't understand until you try it yourself." Oh well..... But I know, and that's good enough for me. ________________Mike B.

OK, It's different than what I'm used to, but I finally figured out how to add pictures. So I posted a couple over in the pictures section titled Dark side Honda Reflex Scooter. One is a rear view of my scoot 'After Midnight' with the car tire and a top case project I'm working on and the other is a side by side comparison of the standard Bridgestone-Hoop and the Federal 145/70R12 all season tire.

Life is a Road
Just a note to say that I purchased Daniel Myers compiled version of his books.
He is a very entertaining writer and not just about motorcycles.
