Placed a goodyear viva p195/65r/15 with a 170/80/15 mc tube on a 05-c50t wasn't easy ,but it's worth it,so far i think it's better on dirt an slowrace type riding. After riding about 100 miles it's fine on highways,i'am not dead yet. bluedog

I recently purchased a Goodyear Viva Authority for my '04 Intruder and this is the first time ever I haven't succeeded in mounting a tire on anything...which is saying a lot because in the past 18 years Ive' mounted tires on everything from go-carts to semis...but this damn tire refuses to seat...the rim says 15"....either it's wrong or Goodyear tires are one hell of a tight squeeze....at present I've chickened out at 110PSI...how far can I safely push it before the damn thing explodes?

I now have over 3200 miles on the CT and have had no problems with it. It still takes a little extra push to get the bike to lean over, but then most (80%) of my riding is straight interstate riding so it doesn't bother me any. The bumps on the interstate seem to be smoother with the CT and there is one place where the road is grooved for about 1/4 mile and I was already thru it before I knew where I was. I have also noticed there are a few curves where I ride them at a faster pace that I did ...

Hey everyone, I just found this site today. I've put on a Bridgestone Potenza RE92 165/65/R14 on my bike and only have about about 5000 km so far, but i gotta say, I love it. There's quite a few Darksiders on the Burgman Forum (http://www.burgmanusa.com/) with some spirited discussion both ways. Here's some issues though that I have, check the pics and it'll be apparent. I've since repaired the problem, and it won't detract me from using a CT on my ride.

My rear shocks are lowered about 2 coils and I still have clearance. The inside rim bead on the rim MUST be ground down smooth for this tire to seat.

I love the looks and the ride!

Good morning,

I've been reading the Darkside concept for a few years now and considered it with my last bike, a Shadow Spirit, but never quite got around to it.

I've now got a Boulevard C109 with a stock 240 rear and thought "Why not?"

The stock tire has 19,000km on it and will likely need to be replaced within the next month or so.

I've read and re-read many blog posts (Daniel Meyer's stuff is good) as well as many pro and con forum write ups as well and am convinced ...
