Had the General Altimus HP 185/65/15 put on Tuesday. Have not been able to take ride until today. I really like the new ride alot so far. I think going from the 80 to 65 has help with take offs. If any increase in rpm's, it is very small and barely noticable at all. Seems to have helped at around 55 to 60 when in 5th gear. Use to lerch a little when in 5th gear. Starting off at 35 psi. Noticed just a small amount of loosness in a few curves in 2nd gear. Going to increase psi by 2lb's until I ...

Well, I have finally had it up to my eyebrows with the drivers here in Central Florida. Yesterday, while driving to church for a meeting, I had a jerk follow me around the lakefront glued to my tailpipe. I could tell that he was just in a hurry and didn't want to do the 25 mph speed limit. Probably thought he could push me along. Really got under my skin, but I let it go and just continued on. This crap happens about once a week and I'm pretty used to it.

So, today, as I was leaving work ...

Hello All! I am new to this forum and have been dropping in and reading your posts for 6 months or so. I am currently riding an 06' VTX 1800 Retro and am concidering the move to a C/T. I have went thru two back tires this year in 8800 miles and am tired of the price for replacement m/c tires. My biggest concern with changing over to the c/t is safety but from all the posts i've read on here that doesn't seem to be much of an issue. I really do like the look of the GY TT and the Mich HE but being ...

I'm running a Toyo Proxxis 245/50VR16 on stock RIII rim, stock tire is 240/50ZR16 and about $300.00 mounted and only good for about 5,000 miles. The Toyo was a little over a hundred bucks, $104 I think and I mounted it myself with the wife's help.
No Nativity in Washington , D.C. this year!

There will be no Nativity Scene in Washington this year!

The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene in the United States ' Capital this Christmas season.

This isn't for any religious reason. They simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the Nation's Capitol.

A search for a Virgin continues.

There was no problem, however, finding enough asses to fill the stable

Ok, I know, I know, a used tire is a used tire. However, I have a chance of getting an almost new “used” tire; I would say less than 1000 miles on it, from the looks of it. I’ve ran used motorcycle tires quite a bit, in the past. I figure that there may be a difference with car tires. What’s ya’ll’s opinions?

I saw a very pretty dark blue goldwing with all the bells and whistles. The rider was at a store near my grocery store.

by the time I got parked at the store, the goldwinger was dismounting in the same lot and going into to same store as I. Later in store I saw them, rider and passenger. Commented on his good looking bike. We talked a few minutes and found that we both were/ are darksiders, whoa, anyhow with my CRS(can't remember stuff) I have forgotten his name, but remember he said he was ...

The report is the bike rides great, runs strong pulls hard. No leaks oil exhaust or other. The tire rides smoother than the douglas ever did. Directional thread, or non-directional thread? Why, or why not. Rest assured that I’m not asking to just get uproar out of somebody over this, I’ve gotten a direction tire now, {a tad too small, diameter wise, and am going to go larger} however, I’m just asking about the differences,of the pros and cons of either.

Here's my dilemma:

I have a 205 tire on my bike and it barely fits. So tight is it that the wires from my brake/turn lights are rubbing the tire when I hit a bump and causing them to ground out, thus blowing a 10amp fuse, which results in a total loss of power, meaning the bike dies. The tire is actually rubbing against the hollow bolt the wires from the lights go through.

I have removed the rear fender and dismantled the lights and now I want to reroute them to go between the chrome ...

I am tired of the expensive cheep a** M/C round rubber i don't consider a tire the bike industry offers. I am here to learn and experience all there is about the dark side and future motorcycling experience. I currently reside in Columbia SC.

I think I did the link right. It's sorta stream lined, (thinner/more narrow) which I hope will look ok on the vlx. I ordered the clear one.

So what if you're in a bad situation physically or mentally. Do you lie to your hurting body or heart? Can you ignore the pain? No. But it's what you ...
